12 Km away from the city of Ushuaia, you can find National Park "Tierra del Fuego", furthest end of the Argentine Republic. The park has an area of 63,000 ha, bathed by the waters of the Beagle channel in the south, its steep ground is surrounded by mountain ranges and covered by thick Andean-Patagonian woods.

National route 3 crosses the park from end to end till it reaches Lapatia bay. Many paths start at the route and lead us through the forest, revealing to us its inner rivers, lakes, sphagnum bogs, cascades, beaver dams and magnificent views of de Beagle channel and Lake Roca.

The Ensenada and Lapataia bays are two particularly beautiful places, where a few trekking paths are born, such as the "senda costera" (coastal path) and that leading to the "Laguna Negra" (Black Lake). From Lapataia, we can board a ship at Alvear harbor, to combine the excursion to the national park with the navigation through the Beagle channel, visiting the "Isla de los Lobos" (Island of the Wolves) and the lighthouse on your way back to Ushuaia. (Lapataia Bay)
The National Park is the ideal place to practice activities such as trakking, hiking, kayaking, rafting, mountain bike rides and camping in the areas allowed or the camping site by Lake Roca.
