Tour description
Departing from the Civic Park of Ushuaia, where the Tourist Quay is, we travel by bus on national route 3 toward the “Estación del Fin del Mundo” (Station at the End of the World), located 8 Km west from town. From there, by means of a replica of the “Prisoners Train”, visitors will travel the same route traveled decades ago by the prisoners to provide the town with wood. Hundred-year-old forests, rivers, sphagnum bogs, and the replica of an Indian settlement will appear before the travelers’ eyes. The ride also has a stop a the Macarena cascade; and in its last stretch the train enters the National Park Tierra del Fuego, ending at the park station. This is the ideal excursion to get to know the National Park. The train departs every day, all the year round and the departure times from November to March are 09:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 03:00 p.m. and 05:00 p.m. and from April to October at 10:00 a.m. The tour lasts 1 hour.
