The airport is located near the city center, it is easily accessed by car, only a ten-minute drive from downtown. Taxis and remises (call-taxis) will take you there (they are always available) for around 10 pesos Argentinos . The airport features all sort of facilities for your comfort, a café, a shopping area, a VIP lounge and a spacious parking lot. It is important to keep in mind that there is still no bank or currency exchange broker. That is why we recommend you bring a little cash in “pesos Argentinos” for transportation expenses and the airport fee.

Transportation from / to the airport
The airport is located near the city center, it is easily accessed by car, only a ten-minute drive from downtown. The latter is the fastest, most inexpensive and safest way if you are 4 people or less. The fares are fixed and if you make a reservation by telephone or by e-mail, the driver will wait for you at the airport with a sign reading your name. All the cars that pass through el Calafate are insured and regulated by the town hall, so they are a hundred per cent reliable, unlike the case for other cities in Argentina.
Remises (call-taxies): around $17 pesos up to 4 passengers (single)
