Sea Lions island
Once we have boarded at the tourist quay, we start the navigation on the Beagle Channel, watching the panoramic views of the city, the bay and the Andes Range from the sea. We continue the navigation passing by the pioneer estancias Fique and Túnel, where we will observe the unusual trees with the branches leaning entirely to one side, this shape being the result of the strong winds. We continue the navigation toward the lighthouse of Les Eclaireurs. On our way back, we visit the “Isla de los Lobos Marinos” (Island of the Sea Lions) and the “Isla de los Pájaros” (Island of the Birds), where we approach the coast and make a stop in order to watch them and photograph them from the ship. We continue through the Bridges Islands until the Paso Chico which marks the entry to the Ushuaia bay, where the excursion ends. Departures 09:30 y 15:00 hs. Summer time.

This is a tour of great historical value through a great landscape. This twelve-hour long journey through the Beagle Channel goes by the “Isla de los Pájaros” (Island of the Birds), the “Isla de los Lobos Marinos” (Island of the Sea Lions) and the Lighthouse Les Eclaireurs, silent witness of the wreckage of the Monte Cervantes in 1930. Later, we will sail in front of the Estancia Remolino, where the partially sunken hull of the Sarmiento has lain since 1912. The excursion will lead us to Almanza Harbor, the McKinlay passage and the Martillo Island, where we will have the chance to see a Magellan penguin rookery. Before we go back to the city, we will visit the Estancia Harberton to loiter around its facilities and get to know a little of its origins and history. The whole tour lasts around 6 hours.

Antartic Expedition Cruises
Antarctica is one of the most beautiful and unexplored places in our planet. For over two centuries, the White Continent has attracted scientists and adventurers for its unmatched natural beauty. Nowadays, this frozen land has opened its doors to world travelers who have become mesmerized with its unique wildlife, its majestic icebergs and its superb scenario. The austral summer, from November to March, with its endless daylight renders the exploration unique. The expedition leader will take voyagers to remote locations where only a few men have set foot on. While landing in zodiacs, large penguin colonies, magnificent whales, and breathtaking icebergs and glaciers will be at sight. Voyages can usually last from 8 to 15 days, and even if the itinerary might be the same for all of them, its changing climate and the whims of stranded icebergs prevent the possibility that two voyages could be alike, the overwhelming and sometimes awesome views are never the same. If you ever decide to come back, the scenery will be different. Another tourist possibility is to join us on board during logistic or research voyages. The duration and the itinerary of these voyages vary with each expedition.
